Bio

Jean Wright’s professional background includes a Masters degree in Counseling-Psychology; a BS in Elementary Education; and five years as an elementary teacher. Since 1979 she has had an active private practice in Portland, Oregon doing therapy with children, adolescents, and adults, and is a licensed counseling supervisor in the State of Oregon. She has taught a series of graduate level classes in Play Therapy, has helped establish and maintain play therapy components in many regional Head Start programs, has made three training tours to Australia, and was selected to present at the International Play Therapy Conference in the Netherlands. She has provided training, consultation, and seminars to empower and advocate for more enlightened work with children and adults.
